We are experienced trial, appellate and arbitration litigators with a solid track record of successful resolutions and winning cases at all levels of court, including the Supreme Court of Canada, and before a broad range of administrative boards and tribunals.
We are committed to working closely with our clients to manage the risk of litigation through careful evaluation, strategic planning and finding the most cost effective and efficient approach to each case, be it negotiation, mediation, arbitration or litigation.
Our goal is to get to the heart of the issues, avoiding lengthy proceedings and minimizing the disruption to our clients’ business.
Commercial litigation cases that we have been counsel in include:
Amos Investments Ltd. v. Minou Enterprises Ltd., 2008 BCSC 332
- This matter involved a construction company shareholders’ dispute. We represented the majority shareholders who wanted to buy-out the minority shareholder and suggested an arbitration process to determine the value of his shares. The arbitrator committed a number of errors that inflated the value of the company and we successfully applied to the British Columbia Supreme Court to set aside the arbitrator’s decision.
