Kelly is a senior associate counsel with Kuhn LLP. He had many years of experience in commercial, construction and property litigation as well as bankruptcy and insolvency law as a former partner with a regional law firm. More recently, he has followed his interests in people, property and problem solving to Kuhn LLP and expanded his practice into family and estate litigation with an emphasis on property issues.
Kelly likes to bring order to disorder. Apart from role as counsel, he has served as a civil and family mediator. He is past chair of the ADR (Vancouver) subsection of the Canada Bar Association (BC Branch) and a former adjunct professor in dispute resolution at UBC Law School. He has many years of past board involvement with the former B.C. Mediator Roster Society.
Kelly also likes to write. In addition to numerous conference papers on property, insolvency, and mediation topics, he is the author of two books published by Lexis Nexis entitled Asset Protection (2005) and Asset & Wealth Protection (2009).
Kelly is married to Kathy (who is also a lawyer and family mediator). They enjoy travel, walking their dog, time with their four adult children and involvement in their community.
